Happy Birthday T Swift!!

TAYLOR SWIFT. Woot Woot!! Tomorrow marks the 23rd birthday of TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT!! She is basically my idol and I love her so much. All her songs have such a powerful meaning to any average teenagers life. She just gets me and that is what I love so much. Basically I wish she was my bestie. We would have many wonderful adventures and take our cats of trips.

This girl is AMAZING! She is always traveling around the world on her many tours. She started her career when she was only 14 years-old! She was actually named the youngest songwriter ever hired by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house. She now has 5 albums. "Taylor Swift" "Sounds of the Season" "Fearless" "Speak Now" "Red". All of these many accomplishments and more and she is only 23. Wow. What an inspiration! She also helps with many charities, events, and causes. She uses her fame to make a difference and make people happy. One thing that she mentioned she loves is seeing all her fans. It makes her so happy that so many people are moved by her and they are all so nice.

Yes, Taylor Swift does have a cat, her name is Meredith (named after Meredith Grey from Grey's Anatomy, LOVE this show). I also have an obbsession with cats. I will probably die alone with 72 cats and be in complete bliss. I want a cat right now but unfortunately my college housing does now allow animals so I guess ill stick to fish for now. She also has a "day off" cat shirt that she wears and I absolutely love it. That is the next thing on my wish list is to fill my closet with some cat shirts, sweat shirts, earrings, scarfs, pjs. End of story.

Taylor Swift will be having a concert in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 1, 2013. Yes, i will be there!! I called mother up last night and told her she could get me a concert ticket for my birthday (which isnt until July), dont worry she said she was already thinking about it. Yes i do have the best mom in the whole world. I love her so so much!!! My advice...get a concert ticket now. Be there.

Not All it's Cracked Up to Be

Yesterday was a very fun and eventful day. Taylor, KY, and I made cute holiday cards to send around to friends and family. Well of course we had to hand deliver them to our wonderful high school teachers. I think in high school we had more friends that were teachers than we did people our age. Anywho, we went and took them around and were glad to see so many smiling faces excited to see us. However, they thought we were handing them a wedding invitation. Um sorry we dont see that happening for quite a while. We were glad to hear that the teachers miss having our bright smiling faces in class. During our stop to see Mr. Jones in the gym we were offered to participate in a few games of pickleball. Last year when we played during P.E. we sucked. We were so bad that many people didnt want to play us because it wasnt even fun. Oh well we had fun! In less than a year our skills improved. We won 3 out of 3 games and rocked it! Although that could have been due to the fact that we were playing shy scared little freshman, but oh well we still won. It was so fun to go back and walk the halls that I spent 4 years in. It was a little bit bittersweet.

Well that day is over and now it's back to reality, back to college. I have to say that college is not all its cracked up to be. Many people told me that it's "the best time of your life" but i have to disagree. Here at ISU there is no social life. No new friends (unless they are married girls that your obviously cant hang out with outside of school). And there is absolutely nothing to do here in Pocatello which is why I go home many weekends. I hope my parents dont get sick of me. The only people that I hang out with are people that I went to high school with. Kynzie. Taylor. Tennille. We do have fun and we have made many wonderful memories but this is not at all what I expected as i came off to college. Maybe it's just ISU that is like that. Perhaps I need to transfer schools? But that just sounds like too much work. Things would probably be a whole lot better if I actually liked my roommates. But there is no chance of that. They are kind of freaks. slobs. renobs. oh you name it. They consider me and k.y. clean freaks because we think the kitchen and bathroom need to be cleaned once a week. Uh yes they do. Especially when you have six girls living there it gets dirty fast. They also consider us "scary". Hm last time I checked we are not scary. We spend most of our time laughing so I would consider us very happy friendly people.

Breathe. Breathe. It will all be okay. Christmas break is fast approaching and me and k.y. can have the house all to ourselves. Just the way we like it. hmmm. That sounds wonderful!

Books, Books, & More Books.

As the end of the first semester is ending it's time to order those dreadful books again. Die. The lingering question in my head is why do textbooks have to cost so much money?! We already pay big bucks for tution, shouldnt that pay to borrow books? It's not like I will ever use them again.

I was able to cut down this semesters book costs by about $100 dollars. It helps when there are a few great websites where you can rent books for a cheaper price. The two websites that I looked and compared prices from were campusbookrentals.com & valorebooks.com. Then of course ISU has their "SPECIAL" books that can only be boughten from the book store. For example my math book. It costed me about $120 but if I want to sell it back to them at the end of the semester they will only give me around $20 back. That is so lame. Colleges need some sense knocked into them. I am already poor then I have to whip out all this money. Aint nobody got time for that!

Tennis with Taylor

So college is not "the best time of my life" as some people would say, but it's not horrible either. I am attending Idaho State University and let me tell you it's is a big change. Walking to and from the many different buildings is great....well it was great until the cold weather blew in. When I say it "blew" in I mean it. Here in Pocatello the wind never stops! No use styling my hair anymore.

This week has been quite eventful compared to my many weeks of school, work, dinner, homework, repeat. On sunday night I had a slumber with Taylor which was super exciting. First sleepover in quite a while. Monday night was spent grocery shopping because my fridge was literally empty. The only items in it were water, cheese, and tortilla shells. On Tuesday I didnt have school so I was very productive and got a lot of homework done, played tennis with Taylor, did a little bit of shopping (mainly in the mens department, they have great sweaters and it's much cheaper than womens). Half way through the week and it has already been great!

Tennis is a sport that I find very fun. I will admit that I suck at it and probably wont ever become pro, but we had a lot of fun just goofing off and trying to get better. We also did a little power walking around the track. Made me feel like those mommys that power walk with weights and sweat bands. Oh what an adventure! I hope there is more to come.
