just a little update.

so I realize that I haven't written in a very long time (4 months) + there has been a lot that happened in those 4 months. let me take a minute to briefly fill you in. let my summer recap begin...

 

MY NANNY JOB

on july 19 I had to quit my nanny job. this was a bittersweet day. I was so happy to move home because that meant I was days away from my wedding day which would be the happiest day of my life. I was sad because of the fact that I will only get to see these little munchkins once in a blue moon. I have learned so much from these kids over the past year + I couldn't have asked for a better job. I miss my little Maggie and Noah everyday.

much more fun than theirs. they don't even have any slides at their

school.

 

 



WEDDING DAY

august 2, 2013 was a joyous day filled with bliss + happiness. I got to marry my best friend + high school sweetheart. it has been a long journey of ups + downs to get to this day but I wouldn't have had it any other way. jimi and I got married in my parents backyard with a rustic barn theme. it was perfect weather that day I think God was on our side. my mayor married us who just happened to be a good family friend so that made the day even more special. I had my best friends from high school {taylor, kayla, morgan, + Jamie} be my beautiful bridesmaids. jimi had his two best friends {chad + braden} as his groomsmen. the little girl {maggie} that I was a nanny for + my niece {ava} were my cute little flower girls. then, jimi's nephew {harley} was our handsome ring bearer. I was walked down the aisle by my wonderful father which was a very bittersweet moment. of course I had to cry because I am just emotional like that. the ceremony went perfectly. there wasn't any major oopsies to goof up our perfect day. we were so lucky to get most of our extended family there to celebrate with us. to this day I am still writing those dreadful thank you cards. those will forever be the death of me. thank you cards are probably the worst job for a bride after she gets married.

HONEYMOON

this hot couple went to california for our honeymoon. we spent a week having wonderful adventures as newly weds at disneyland + sea world + universal studios. it was the best week ever. it was so nice to finally be able to sleep next to my love and just spend every moment together. this surely started out our marriage wonderfully. we have many many many years to come and I cant wait to see what adventures we conquer next. although when the honeymoon came to an end...it was nice to get home to our little home + back to reality.

 

 

OUR FIRST HOME

we live in a cute little basement apartment in preston, Idaho. when I say little I mean little. the closet mostly consists of my clothes + my clothes are in the dresser + the cupboards above the bed + underneath the bed + still at my parents house. yes I may have too many clothes but I just cant part with them.  we love our little home that is now full of character + it will create many memories for us. we chose to live in a tiny poor house for two reasons. 1. I have always wanted a poor house when I first get married. 2. we decided to save up our money for a few years so we can afford something nicer. we try to be smart and frugal with our money but at times it is super hard. and I cant forget that our landlord is just about the sweetest lady there is. she sometimes brings us goodies. we love her.

 

 

 

FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE - ROUND 2

well school has started once again. here's to another year at isu. I cant say that I love it there but I guess it's not THAT bad. I just hate that fact that no one there is nice. everyone is Saudi or old. and I have no reason to make friends since I don't even in live in Pocatello. oh well. I must conquer through 2 more years and I will be done. future teacher here I come.

MISSIONARIES EVERYWHERE

my best friend {pictured above} just got her mission call. she leaves on january 15,2014 and goes to lubbock, texas. she is going spanish speaking so she gets to go to the new mexico mtc. I am so so excited for her. she will make a great missionary + I know she will have a lot of fun and learn so much. it is her request that I wait to have babies until she gets back. that will be my birth control for the next year and a half. I cant have kids without auntie taylor. go get 'em hermana slade!

 

 

 

well I think that just about covers the major moments of the last 4 months. I know it was a bit overwhelming. I will try to never do that again. sweet dreams peeps.
